Job summary

Technical Safety Services LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform testing, certification, calibration, and repairs at customer sites. You will work independently in the field, build strong customer relationships, and advance your technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s a plus), customer service background, basic math and MS Office skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Background in customer service and some mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technical work.
  • Good communication, basic math, and comfort using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and travel (including some overnights).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, certification, calibration, and repairs across different lab environments with a focus on quality.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs, communicate clearly, and ensure the job is done right.
  • Build strong relationships and be the main point of contact for customers on site.
  • Complete reports and required paperwork on time to keep projects on track and clients updated.

Your Day-to-Day Environment
  • Travel daily to customer sites in your assigned territory, driving about 30-300 miles per day
  • Work independently out of your own company-provided service vehicle
  • Lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50-100 lbs while standing and walking for most of the day
What You’ll Take Ownership Of
  • Perform testing, certification, calibration, and repairs across different lab environments with a strong focus on quality
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs, communicate clearly, and make sure the job is done right
  • Build strong relationships and be the main point of contact for customers on site
  • Complete reports and required paperwork on time to keep projects on track and clients update
