Job summary

Special Order Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to travel to customer sites, set up and repair tablets, kiosks, phones and related equipment in correctional facilities, ensuring proper operation and security.

You will provide on-site support, training, inventory management, and coordination with dispatchers; candidates must handle sensitive environments, demonstrate strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and learn rapidly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working in difficult environments such as corrections is preferred.
• Ability to work with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with telecom, networking devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to facility sites to set up and maintain tablets, phones, kiosks and related equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tablets and connected devices.
• Assist with software updates, installations and user account management on tablets.
• Train users (including incarcerated individuals) on device use and security.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with dispatch for work assignments and ETAs.
