This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and ability to perform physical functions.
• Willingness to be on-call; emergency response as needed, including weekends/holidays.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and medical/physical exam per position.
• Compliance with OSHA respiratory protection standards (29 CFR 1910.134) regarding respirators.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety as the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Perform strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and a range of hand tools.
• Use PPE correctly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Handle potentially hazardous materials and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Work in elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and at heights.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• On-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
• Follow local, state and federal regulations; operate vehicles per DOT rules.
