Job summary

FLANDERS is a world leader in renewing machines for heavy industry, offering on-site field service support in Casper, Wyoming. The Field Service Technician I will diagnose, maintain, repair, install, and/or remove basic electromechanical motors and equipment, working with Technician II and III and Foreman on more complex jobs.

This role may involve independent work on smaller accounts, adherence to safety and ISO standards, and thorough paperwork to ensure quality control and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree and/or trade school degree in electrical or mechanical studies preferred.
• Two years of hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical equipment.
• AC and/or DC knowledge preferred, including experience with motors and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with customers on site.

Responsibilities

• Read work scopes to determine job status and required authorizations.
• Analyze and diagnose motors and equipment prior to repair or removal.
• Determine if repairs can be done in the field or require shop work.
• Disassemble basic and routine equipment; assist with more complex work.
• Properly mark parts, take photos, and complete paperwork to ISO standards.
• Repair, install, or remove basic and routine motors and equipment; assist with complex jobs.
• Perform basic testing and document results; troubleshoot issues.
• Operate testing equipment as needed and test run equipment on proper voltage.
• Identify abnormalities during test runs and ensure proper output.
• Read, draw, and interpret diagrams of motors and parts.
• Maintain paperwork and quality control documentation throughout repair process.
