Job summary

Hach is seeking a Field Service Technician I to perform service, repair, and installation of products at customer sites, including electrical and mechanical testing per maintenance contracts. You will diagnose failures, determine cost-effective solutions, and escalate complex issues for advanced support.

The role requires self-management, initiative, and a valid driver's license. You will work remotely in the field across assigned territories, collaborating with Operations and Technical Support

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Preventative Maintenance and mechanical/technical troubleshooting is a must – we especially want to hear from you if you have previous experience as an Instrument Tech.
• Proven ability to self-manage and take initiative; you are resilient, resourceful, and an expert at managing a busy workload with competing priorities.
• You have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager_,_ theField Service Technician Iis responsible for the repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials and finished products meet rigorous quality standards. You will perform laboratory testing, calibration, documentation, and technical problem-solving while collaborating closely with Operations and Technical Support.

This position is part of the Ames-Hach Company located in Calgary and will be remote while working inthe field.
