Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service medical devices in hospital and service center environments.

The role involves cleaning, disinfecting, performing function checks, and minor repairs on a wide range of rental and customer-owned products, with on-call coverage as needed. You will join a team committed to delivering care at critical moments, with training and opportunities across service operations, a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Technical or trade school training preferred.
• DOT physical card preferred; assistance provided.
• Experience with FDA-regulated products is a plus.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Ability to troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components.
• Ability to use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
• Ability to provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
• Ability to load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
