Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician I in the United States to perform readiness, cleaning, disinfection, checks and minor repairs on Baxter and non-Baxter medical products.

You will support patient utilization and provide 24/7 service coverage, including travel to service centers and customer sites. You will troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, load and unload medical products, and generate service revenue under contracts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and driving record.
• Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Technical or Trade School training is preferred.
• DOT physical card (assistance is provided).
• Experience with FDA regulated products is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Ability to troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components.
• Ability to use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
• Ability to provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
• Ability to load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
