Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Minneapolis is seeking a union field technician to test, inspect and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest. Openings range from Level I through IV with a strong union benefits package.

You will test and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers, and cable, run HV test equipment, and support outages. Travel 50–75% and mentor apprentices as needed for senior levels.

Qualifications

• NETA certification at any level, or relevant electrical experience on the way to certification.
• Experience with power factor or HV testing preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
