Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, install, and maintain stairlift systems in customers’ homes in the Buffalo, NY area. You will perform maintenance, explain repairs, and ensure safety and reliability with minimal supervision.

You’ll travel within an assigned territory, manage work orders via mobile devices, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle and inventory. Training is provided, and you’ll join a team focused on mobility and independence for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude suitable for field service work.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in residential homes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain Acorn stairlift systems in customers’ homes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and annual safety inspections while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Provide professional customer service by explaining repairs, equipment operation, and maintenance recommendations.
• Work independently throughout an assigned territory while managing schedules, work orders, documentation, and communication using a company-provided mobile device.
• Maintain an organized company vehicle and accurately manage parts inventory.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
