Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain stairlift systems in customers’ homes. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and deliver high-quality workmanship while explaining repairs and operation to customers.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong problem-solving and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently within an assigned territory using mobile

Qualifications

• Hands‑on mechanical/electrical aptitude required for service work in homes.
• Experience in field service or hands‑on trades is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain stairlift systems in customers' homes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections with quality workmanship.
• Explain repairs and operation to customers; provide maintenance recommendations.
• Manage schedules, work orders, documentation, and communications via mobile device.
• Maintain organized vehicle and inventory; follow safety procedures.
