Job summary

Wagner CAT Rentals (Sales) is seeking a Rental Equipment Field Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy CAT equipment at customer sites. The role requires hands-on technical skills and a commitment to safe, reliable service.

You will work with supervision and cross-functional teams to meet customer needs, document service activities, and contribute to on-site support and customer satisfaction. Travel is heavy, and a strong focus on quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CAT-related courses or certifications are preferred.
• 3+ years' experience servicing heavy equipment.
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience.
• 3+ years customer service experience.
• 3+ years sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains truck and crane inspection logs on a daily basis.
• Completes CAT service reports daily with legible writing and proper codes.
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports and other information by e-mail.
• Maintains good customer records on assigned jobs.
• Works with Service, Product Support and Sales teams to meet customer needs.
• Communicates diagnosis and status of repairs to customers.
• Promotes Wagner Equipment Co. to customers.
