Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to inspect and service heavy-duty snow removal equipment. You will test, troubleshoot, and support customers at sites, dealers, or Alamo facilities.

The role requires 5+ years as an industrial mechanic or heavy equipment technician, with a technical or associate degree in electro-mechanical technology strongly preferred. Willingness to travel and to be on-call during winter is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as an industrial mechanic/heavy equipment technician.
• Willingness to travel up to 95% within USA/Canada.
• Technical or associate degree in electro-mechanical tech strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and schematics (electrical/hydraulic).
• Ability to fabricate parts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment at customer sites, dealers, or Alamo facilities; test and troubleshoot.
• Provide technical support to customers in person or by phone; address questions.
• Communicate problems, root cause, and corrective actions to QA using docs.
• Complete records and documentation for customers and company.
• Work from wiring diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and layouts.
• Use electrical testing and gauging devices; install hydraulics and check leaks.
• Perform pre-delivery inspection, setup, and start-up of equipment.
• Conduct training programs in operation and maintenance for customers.
• Operate overhead hoists; assemble heavy-duty snow removal products.
