Job summary

HITEC UPS is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance and basic diagnostics on HITEC systems at customer sites. You will inspect electrical and mechanical components, support emergency service, and review job scope, parts, and tools with a focus on safe, professional field execution.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, travel readiness, and the ability to read diagrams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical associate degree, trade school, or equivalent field training preferred.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance or field service related to industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and technical documents.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned preventive maintenance activities on HITEC systems with supervision as required.
• Perform electrical and mechanical inspections including rotating components, sensors, batteries, filters, cooling systems, and torque procedures.
• Perform basic generator/engine inspections; complex repairs by third-party vendors unless directed.
• Support corrective maintenance, emergency service, installation, and project-related field activities.
• Prepare for jobs by reviewing scope, parts, tools, PPE, and customer requirements.
