Job summary

Flogistix, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician in Carrolton, OH. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing natural gas compression units, with emphasis on GM engines and Cummins variants. Travel is substantial to service and support wellhead and VRU compression systems.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex repairs, while adhering to safety protocols and customer requirements. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with natural gas compression units.
• Familiarity with GM 4.3L and 5.7L engines and Cummins 8.3/855 engines is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% in the field.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures at customer sites and maintain a safe work environment.
• Build and assemble equipment according to specifications.
• Track truck inventory and charge out parts to maintain counts.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter and spark plug changes, engine tuning.
• Inspect compression units and run diagnostics to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and implement timely resolutions to keep units running.
• Conduct emissions tests to ensure compliance with standards.
• Keep logs and report issues; participate in training to stay updated.
