Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment within an assigned territory. The role supports field operations to ensure equipment uptime and high-quality service to customers, working independently in remote field environments.

The position requires troubleshooting, engine overhauls, and safe startup/shutdown activities, with overtime and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Solid communication/interface with field personnel, vendors, and employees required.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with engines, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment, including engines, compressors, coolers, and components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Complete startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely.
• Submit accurate maintenance and time reports daily.
