Job summary

Burwell Material Handling in Albany, GA is seeking a Field Service Technician. You’ll travel to customer sites in the territory, service and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment with top brands, and work independently with strong team support.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel within the service territory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues
• Use diagnostic tools to pinpoint and fix problems
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly
• Service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack
• Participate in manufacturer‑certified training to stay up to date
• Promote service offerings like maintenance programs, inspections, and parts
• Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety
• Support and mentor junior techs when needed
