Job summary

Burwell Material Handling in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment across customer sites. You’ll travel in a company vehicle, work independently, and receive hands-on training as you grow with a growing team.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support other techs while advancing your career with Burwell.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly
• Service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack
• Participate in manufacturer‑certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques
• Promote service offerings like maintenance programs, inspections, and parts
• Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness
• Support and mentor junior techs when needed
