Job summary

Abel Womack, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is seeking a Field Service Technician-Forklift and Automation to install, maintain and repair Raymond equipment across an assigned territory including Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens.

You will work independently with support from a skilled team and receive company vehicle, training and career growth opportunities. Ideal candidates will have hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to read schematics and manuals, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints and manuals.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift heavy components (50 lbs) regularly.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an established territory (Long Island, Brooklyn & Queens) to perform installation, maintenance and repair of Raymond battery-powered lift trucks, warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment.
• Communicate directly with customers to identify and resolve warehouse equipment challenges.
• Demonstrate mechanical and technical talent to develop skills and equipment training.
