Job summary

Abel Womack seeks skilled Field Service Technicians to service Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and other material handling equipment in Norwich, CT and surrounding areas. The role includes a company-issued service vehicle, extensive training, and long-term career growth.

You will troubleshoot on-site with customers, perform installations and repairs, and submit electronic work orders from a company tablet while upholding top customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment with focus on quality, efficiency and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts reps, dispatch, lead techs, and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repairRaymond battery-powered lift trucks along with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability todiagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus onquality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor andbuild positive customer relationships by consistently deliveringexcellent customer service
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
