Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join our team in Hartford, CT and the surrounding area. The role features a company-issued service vehicle, extensive technical training, and the chance to work on Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related automated material handling equipment.

You will travel locally to install, maintain, and repair equipment, troubleshoot with customers, and grow your technical skills through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts reps, customers, dispatch and leads.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships through excellent service.
• Provide own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools provided.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanorandbuild positive customer relationshipsby consistently deliveringexcellent customer service
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
