Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join our team in Worcester, MA and surrounding areas. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related material handling equipment.

You'll troubleshoot with customers, expand your mechanical and electrical skills through training, and use a tablet for work orders. A valid drivers license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Communicate regularly with team, dispatch, and customers; maintain professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges with customers.
• Submit electronic work orders using a company tablet.

What You’ll Do

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repairRaymond battery-powered lift trucksalong with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability todiagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipmentwith a focus onquality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanorandbuild positive customer relationshipsby consistently deliveringexcellent customer service
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
