Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a field installation and integration specialist to plan and execute inhouse and customer-based installations of flight simulation PC Windows-based real-time image generation systems and display optics at customer facilities.

The role requires interpreting diagrams, performing tests, documenting issues, providing training, and ensuring compliance with export controls. Heavy travel is involved to support customers and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Computer Science, Networking or Electrical Engineering Technology with related experience.
• Three levels of qualification reflecting increasing experience in visual simulation.
• Proven ability to interpret technical diagrams and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret block and wiring diagrams, and customer specifications.
• Use basic test equipment to analyze problems and determine root cause.
• Document and track issues, coordinate resolution with engineering and QA.
• Develop and execute detailed test procedures for customers or programs.
• Communicate status and technical information clearly to supervision and customers.
• Train customers and team members on safe operation and maintenance of visual systems.
• Maintain professional conduct and collaborate across teams to achieve goals.
• Ensure export control compliance and protect company materials and information.
