Job summary

Davis-Standard is seeking a field service professional to support customers across our control systems and in-house service platforms. The role involves remote and on-site support, paid service calls, and training customer personnel.

The candidate should travel up to 100%, have 3–5 years of field experience, and hold a high school or technical diploma. Proficiency in Excel and Epicor ERP is preferred, with strong extrusion troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
• 3–5 years of field experience.
• High School or Technical school diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot extrusion systems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer technical inquiries by telephone with knowledge of Davis-Standard control systems and in-house service computer systems.
• Promotes and performs paid service calls, resolves related problems; trains customer personnel and troubleshoots mechanical systems.
• Submits accruals, written reports of service work, follow-up actions, and approvals in a timely manner.
• Keeps accurate records of travel and living expenses and plans timely, cost-effective travel.
• Maintains positive sales-oriented relations with OEM customers and end users across Davis-Standard departments.
• Ensures replacement parts are expedited to meet customer needs and service terms are applied.
• Works with Davis-Standard sales force to develop new equipment sales leads.
