Job summary

Welker seeks a motivated Field Service Technician to support customer equipment, troubleshoot and repair in oil & gas and industrial environments. The role involves both in-house and at customer sites, with physical work and lifting up to 50 lbs.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read drawings, and willingness to travel; background in manufacturing/field service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests including RMAs, repair requests, and startup support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform equipment retrofits, maintenance, and field service work.
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs, findings, and recommendations.
• Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
