Teledyne FLIR Integrated Solutions is seeking Field Service/Support Technicians to install, diagnose, repair and upgrade complex electro mechanical systems at client sites nationwide.
You will travel up to 20% of the time, with training paired with experienced FSSTs. Work from the Tucson area with field assignments across the United States and occasional international travel. Fluency in English is required; other languages are helpful.

We're now hiring professional Field Service/Support Technicians (FSSTs) to facilitate growth in this market and ensure our continued success in meeting customer requirements. In this position, you will be required to travel to client locations, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide operating training on systems. Although the official work location - home office is in Tucson, Arizona, repair, maintenance, and upgrade activities will also occur at customer locations throughout the United States. Applicants should expect to spend up to 20% of time away from the official work location. This role offers a change of pace from a traditional shop environment and provides variety through field based work, customer interaction, and exposure to advanced systems.
Responsible for the inspection, evaluation, diagnosis, maintenance, repair and/or upgrade of complex electro mechanical systems to include the installation of company product(s). Position includes various aspects of product field support, to include providing technical onsite and telephonic support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of complex electro mechanical systems, including mechanical assemblies, electrical wiring, sensors, and control components (similar to automotive, aviation or heavy equipment systems). Communicate with customers to determine the nature of the service and/or repair. Perform system and sub-system testing to proactively identify issues that may potentially affect deployment of the system, provide engineers with information necessary in developing solutions to identified issues. Work is estimated to be 100% Customer Relations (40% electrical, 40% mechanical, 15% software and 5% hardware). FSSTs will be paired with experienced FSSTs for several weeks for training. After the training phase, the FSST will: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (multimeters, hand tools, test equipment). Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Install, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components, cabling, sensors, and modules. Perform preventative maintenance, functional testing, and system validation after repairs. Troubleshoot systems in the field much like vehicle, aircraft equipment diagnostics.
Aviation, automotive, diesel technicians looking to move beyond the shop. Mechanics, aviation and automotive technicians who enjoy diagnostics, problem solving, and hands on technical work. Technicians who are comfortable working independently while supporting customers in the field. Previous experience as an Automotive, Aviation Mechanic, and or Technician, Diesel Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Field Service Technician, or similar hands on mechanical/electrical role is strongly preferred.
