Protean Instruments, a division of Ludlum Measurements, Inc., is seeking a self-starter Field Service Technician to join our team in Knoxville, TN. The role involves driving service success to improve customer satisfaction, maximize retention, and increase profitability.

Responsibilities include field service visits, installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and thorough reporting. The position requires traveling roughly 1–2 weeks per month and a technical degree or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Tie workflow to schedule.
• Manage all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports while documenting processes.
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
