Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Field Service Technician for the St. Louis Park, MN area. This direct hire role offers a 1st shift, Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM–4:30 PM with optional OT. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, read blueprints, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain safety standards while supporting customers on site.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical skills required.
• Minimum one to five years of work experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Fabrication and welding skills are a plus.
• Ability to work in elevated areas.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and understand technical data.
• Ability to use hand tools and trade type tools.
• Strong working knowledge of and compliance with lockout/tagout procedures.
• Must be able to lift 75lbs and be on their feet for the majority of the shift.
• Willing to work at heights of 10-25 feet.

Responsibilities

• Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to verify safety and compliance with manufacturer, OSHA, and ANSI standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment (strong knowledge of electrical circuits a plus.).
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
• Services existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs and upgrades.
• Accurately document service and installation actions by completion of forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships by maintaining good response times, informing. customers of problems and completion of jobs in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customer and provide updates on repairs.
