Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Mechatronic Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair Digital Jetfire equipment. You will train customers and take ownership of assignments, escalating when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5–10 years of field service experience, ability to travel up to 75%, and a clean driving record. A technical degree is a plus, and a company car is provided for on-site work in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO.

Mansioni

Field Service Technician, Digital Jetfire

What We Are Looking For

We are looking to employ a Field Service Mechatronic Technician. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair work and customer training on all Heidelberg Digital products (primary Gallus One / Labelfire equipment). Technicians take ownership of each assignment and escalation to second level when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and closure of the job.

What You Will Do

• Perform Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting, repairing, conduct maintenance & training on Digital printing equipment. In Warranty, Charge Service or Service Contract situations
• Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used equipment that are sales generated. Also, the same upon customer request regarding equipment moves.
• Perform inspections on equipment and complete the proper documentation and attaching photographs.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (i.e., expenses, time sheets, escalation reports, online training courses, car maintenance etc.)

What You Need

• Technical degree is a plus, but not required
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required
• 5 to 10 years of field service experience, or related work experience
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Good personality for customer relations
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Moderate PC skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft apps
• Ability to travel with overnight hotel stays at approx. 50% to 75% of the time.
• Willing to follow strict safety guidelines
• Ability to pass background and drug screen
• Clean driving record, company car is included

Location: Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO

Pay Range

$30 - $40 per hour
