Job summary

Qualifications

• Diesel-powered equipment experience is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of engines, pumps and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, organized and able to manage multiple service calls.
• Proficient with computers, tablets, diagnostic software, MS Office and rental systems.
• High school diploma or GED; 21+; valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
• Ability to lift >50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Own tools; willing to work overtime and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain pumps, diesel engines and related equipment in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and routine service on rental equipment.
• Respond to service calls and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, start up, test and support pumping equipment at customer sites.
• Document repairs, maintenance, parts and service performed.
• Explain safe operation of equipment to customers and site staff.
• Communicate status and concerns to customers and Sage team members.
• Maintain organized service vehicle, tools, parts and work area.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental standards.
