Qualifications

• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines.
• Experience performing diesel engine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of diesel engine components and common failures.
• Ability to diagnose issues involving starters, alternators, fuel systems, and related components.
• Experience documenting and managing work orders.
• Must provide and maintain your own tools.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engine issues.
• Replace engine components such as starters, alternators, fuel pumps, belts, and filters.
• Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on diesel-powered equipment.
• Inspect equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
• Create, update, and close work orders with accurate descriptions of repairs, labor, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Manage work orders to ensure repairs are completed, documented, and communicated properly.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment maintenance histories.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs on pumps and associated equipment as needed.
• Respond to service calls during assigned on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and equipment maintenance standards.
