Job summary

Sage Rental Services in Odessa, TX is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered pumps and equipment at customer sites across the region. This hands-on role combines shop and field work, with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, stock parts, and communicate clearly with customers and Sage teammates.

Qualifications

Diesel-powered equipment knowledge is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Experience with engines, pumps, and related equipment.
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Must hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, diesel engines, and related rental equipment in the field.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on equipment.
Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Install, startup, test, and support pumping equipment at customer sites.
Document repairs, maintenance, and parts used in work orders.
Educate customers on safe operation of Sage equipment.
