Job summary

Acuative Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician to install and maintain networking hardware, telephony equipment, and retail technology systems across customer sites. The role involves travel to assigned markets, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and providing on-site support.

You will work with routers, switches, WAPs, and cabling, complete site surveys, manage inventory, and submit accurate job documents.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking hardware and topologies.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking products and Cisco CLI.
• Understanding of VOIP, PBX, and telephony systems with hands-on support.
• Knowledge of computing hardware and break/fix for desktops/servers.
• Physical installations of routers, switches, WAPs, servers and POS systems.
• Ability to configure platforms via console/remote apps.
• Experience with circuit identification and cabling.
• Ability to use basic power tools and work on ladders.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word).
• Willingness to travel to meet customer SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Installation and maintenance of telephony equipment and circuits.
• Installation and support of retail technology systems – POS, Digital Signage, Video Surveillance.
• Circuit extensions and structured cabling.
• Site surveys and site audits.
• Installation of LEO satellite receivers, cables and hardware.
• Installation of Fixed Wireless antennas, cables and hardware.
• Accurate submission of all job-related documents and deliverables.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools to standards.
