Job summary

Acuative is seeking a Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician to perform installation and maintenance across voice and data networks, servers, and retail technology systems. The role includes company vehicle, gas card, and paid training on Router, Switch, Rack and Stack, and Structured Cabling.

The position requires travel to various customer sites, often within a 4+ hour radius, with guaranteed 40 hours of pay per week and opportunity for overtime and after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, and PBX system certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of networking hardware including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Site surveys and audits for circuit extensions and structured cabling.
• Installation and support of retail technology systems (POS, Digital Signage, Video Surveillance).
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools to departmental standards.
• Accurate submission of all job-related documents and deliverables.

To be eligible for this role you must have a clear driver’s license (no more than 4 points), have the Covid-19 vaccination, and willing to work mostly M-F with opportunity for overtime and call out pay after hours. This position often works alone, and qualified applicants must be able to lift up to fifty pounds above head and climb a ladd
