Ellis Machinery & Equipment, Inc. is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to deliver installation, maintenance, and repair services across Washington.

You will work on high-performance CNC machine tools, troubleshoot complex machinery, and support customers with hands-on expertise. The role requires 2+ years of CNC field service experience, knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, and control systems, plus the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Field Service Engineer/Technician working with CNC machines.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, PLCs, servo drives, and control systems.
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC Machine Tools, including diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for customers.
• Provide training and technical support to clients, ensuring optimal machine performance and safety.
• Document service activities, parts usage, and recommendations in our CRM system.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify opportunities and continuous improvements.
• Adhere to company and industry safety standards.
• Travel within Washington and occasionally beyond to customer sites.

Qualified applicants should know/experience in:

• 2+ years as a Field Service Engineer or Technician working with CNC Machines (Makino, YCM, Fanuc preferable).
• Knowledge of CNC programming, PLC's, servo drives, and control systems.
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on‑site installations, preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC Machine Tools, including diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications also include:

• Must have a clean driving record and a valid drivers license.
• Must have a US Passport or equivalent.
• Must have your own reliable transportation and willing to travel local/regional.
• Must be able to safely lift to 50lbs.
