Job summary

ITW is seeking a Field Service Technician to serve as the front line of customer interaction, providing field support across semiconductor, electronics, and medical manufacturing industries. You will install and maintain components and ionization equipment at customer sites, traveling to multiple plants while delivering high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have strong hand-tool skills, read schematics, and can manage time and customer relationships effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with hand tools and good hand dexterity.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret technical information involving mechanics and electronics; interpret schematics.
• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.
• Strong customer service skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good time management, prioritization and follow-up skills.
• Tolerance for working in stressful environments.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Preferred: trade school/associate degree in maintenance or electronics; construction industry exp; clean room exp.

Responsibilities

• Enhance customer satisfaction providing exceptional service.
• Completes installation of components and low voltage wiring on customer ceilings (cleanrooms).
• Install ionization equipment and maintain static control systems.
• Schedule visits and installations with customers.
• Follow work instructions from service manager or senior technician; may handle smaller jobs on trips.
• Document and report all service-related activities accurately.
• Generate customer reports.
• Exercise safe working practices at all times.
• May work weekends or evenings as needed.
