Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on transformer support across customer sites and remote locations in the United States. You will assist with installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and end-of-life services for power transformers, ensuring reliability and safety.
You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, follow technical manuals, and document service activities.
In this role, you will provide hands‑on field service support for power transformers, helping customers install, maintain, and restore critical electrical assets. Your work will include installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and end‑of‑life services—often performed on‑site in challenging field conditions. You will interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, follow technical manuals, and complete detailed service activities that support equipment reliability and safe operation. Working closely with service colleagues and customers, your day‑to‑day contributions will help extend transformer life, improve performance, and support the dependable operation of power grid infrastructure.
