How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead technical crews of 2‑8+ specialists through complex transformer installation and maintenance projects.
• Execute comprehensive electrical testing including power factor analysis, winding resistance, and SFRA diagnostics.
• Serve as primary customer liaison and technical advisor during critical field operations.
• Optimize project workflows by strategically assigning tasks based on team strengths and site conditions.
• Manage high‑voltage equipment ranging from distribution transformers to transmission‑level apparatus.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on mission‑critical power infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior technicians while promoting continuous safety excellence across all operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Associate degree or two‑year technical diploma and a minimum of 10 years of transformer service experience; OR, high school diploma/ GED and a minimum of 12 years of transformer service experience. 3+ years experience supervising transformer service teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transformer field service operations and electrical testing procedures.
• Expertise in transformer installation, vacuum/oil processing, and internal component assembly.
• Valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel up to 85% across the assigned territory.
• Strong technical problem‑solving abilities and leadership experience in field environments.
• Proven track record working safely around high‑voltage electrical equipment.
• Candidate already has work authorization permitting them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
