Job summary

Valley Gates Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain automatic gate and access control systems. This role involves outdoor work year-round in the Las Vegas heat and requires lifting up to 75 lbs and hand/power tool use.

Ideal candidates will have mechanical or electrical trouble-shooting experience, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to pass a background check. Training is available for related trades.

Qualifications

Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work outdoors in extreme heat and varying weather conditions
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automatic gate operators and access control systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage issues.
Install gate operators and related equipment.
Perform manual labor as needed, including digging with a shovel.
Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
Complete service reports and communicate professionally with customers and office staff.
Perform basic maintenance of company vehicle.
Assist with shop maintenance, organization, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
