BeaconMedaes in Sacramento is seeking a Field Service Technician Apprentice to perform routine annual inspections, maintenance, and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities. You will complete required paperwork and reports while building strong relationships with customers.
The role requires 3 years of customer service experience, mechanical and electrical maintenance background, and the ability to obtain ASSE 6005 within a year.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to become part of our team. In this role you are expected to perform routine annuals, routine maintenance, and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities, including the completion of relevant paperwork and reports. Your mission is to generate and maintain critical relationships with existing customers, promoting the BeaconMedaes standard of excellence – keeping us First in Mind, First in Choice.
Annual inspections and light repairs (85%) – Perform annual inspections at healthcare facilities on piped medical gas products. Obtain and hold ASSE 6005 credential. Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs as supervised and instructed within training purview to become ASSE 6040 credentialed and Service Technician for medical gas equipment upon demonstrated achievement of skills necessary to perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
Complete Job Reports daily, Time sheets weekly, Expense reports turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.
Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management. Returns must be completed within two weeks.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/maintain communication with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done. Perform additional assignments as required.
