Dematic Corporation seeks a Regional Field Service Technician 4 with a controls focus to service and repair installed Dematic systems. This role travels 100% across North America, supporting customers at their facilities and ensuring high system availability.

Under Field Service Manager direction, you will perform installations and adjustments on PLCs and sensors, train customers, and document inspections and repairs. Heavy travel, overtime, weekends may be required.

Competenze

• Trade school graduate or two-year associate’s degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment; experience with material handling equipment is a plus.

Dematic Corporation is now hiring a Regional Field Service Technician 4 with a controls focus for our Field Service team. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair and service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position is heavily responsible for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. The primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for customer use and that customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by an airport for travel. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. This role will be 100% travel.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $38- $43 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Trade school graduate or two-year associate’s degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. The successful candidate must have some work experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with
• Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), or conveyors is highly prized.
• Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).
• Must be willing to be available during off hours and travel accordingly.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
• Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.
• Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.
• Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, database functions and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
• Working experience with troubleshooting Programable Logistic Controllers (PLC) is required.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces
