Fives Landis Corp is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the service team in a flexible location with up to 75% travel across client sites. The role focuses on setting up, testing, and demonstrating precision grinding equipment, diagnosing issues, and providing rapid on-site support to ensure customers’ equipment performs to standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, integrate, and test equipment at client sites to ensure reliability.
• Demonstrate equipment performance and confirm operation to customers.
• Provide rapid on-site support for critical equipment failures.
• Perform emergency repairs and diagnose issues with timely solutions.
• Educate clients on proper operation to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate status updates with customers and internal teams.
• Act as the primary technical liaison with customers and stakeholders.
• Submit detailed service reports with parts used and actions taken.

Location Flexibility:

Candates do not need to be based at our Hagerstown, Maryland headquarters. We encourage applicants from Ohio to apply.

Pay Range:

$28 – $38/per hour (rate offered will be commensurate with experience)At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose.

Your role will be to:

• Set up, integrate, and thoroughly test equipment and systems at client locations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Demonstrate equipment performance and capabilities to customers, confirming proper operation and satisfaction with system standards.
• Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform emergency repairs by diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective and timely solutions.
• Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation, maximizing efficiency and user confidence.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates and maintain alignment.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison, managing customer interactions and ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of issues.
• Submit detailed service reports, including parts used, time spent, and corrective actions taken.

Centerless and double disc grinding knowledge is a plus. An understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors.
