Job summary

Fives Landis Corp seeks a Field Service Technician to join its team in Hagerstown, MD, with location flexibility for Ohio candidates. The role involves installing, testing, and supporting equipment at client sites, ensuring reliability and performance, and traveling up to 75% to engage with customers.

You will work under the Service & Installation Manager in the Service team, providing rapid repairs, client training, and detailed service reports in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates.
• Submit detailed service reports with parts used and actions taken.

Location Flexibility: Candidates do not need to be based at our Hagerstown, Maryland headquarters. We encourage applicants from Ohio to apply.

Pay Range: $28 – $38/per hour (rate offered will be commensurate with experience)

Your role will be to:

• Set up, integrate, and thoroughly test equipment and systems at client locations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Demonstrate equipment performance and capabilities to customers, confirming proper operation and satisfaction with system standards.
• Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform emergency repairs by diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective and timely solutions.
• Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation, maximizing efficiency and user confidence.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates and maintain alignment.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison, managing customer interactions and ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of issues.
• Submit detailed service reports, including parts used, time spent, and corrective actions taken.

Centerless and double disc grinding knowledge is a plus. An understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors.
