Xylem is looking for a Field Service Technician to report to our Milledgeville, GA location and service our water treatment equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area, with occasional coverage in Albany, GA.
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the on-site operation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment. This position will support a retired power plant where Xylem operates a wastewater treatment system utilizing clarifiers, media filters, reverse osmosis (RO), biological treatment, and sludge thickening systems. Equipment-specific training will be provided, and we are willing to train the right person. Candidates with a background in construction, plumbing, HVAC, industrial HVAC, or a related technical field are especially encouraged to apply. Strong mechanical and plumbing troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently in an industrial environment are highly valued. This position operates on a Monday–Thursday, 4x10 schedule, generally from 6:00/7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch. The technician will participate in an emergency on-call rotation, with weekend or after-hours on-call emergencies being extremely rare.

The estimated salary range for this position is $25 to $28 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and education, and may be higher for candidates with significant relevant experience.
