Qualifications

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest-growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Road Mechanic. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and making advanced repairs at the customer's location to minimize downtime. Our fleet varies but primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines may include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas) preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations

Skills and Abilities

• May need to provide mechanic’s tools
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other) may be required based on location

The physical demands include bending, squatting, reaching, lifting over 50 pounds, and working indoors/outdoors as needed. Reasonable accommodations are available as per law.
