About the Role - The Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, service, and installation of CNC milling machining centers, as well as assisting customers in resolving issues. This role requires 100% domestic travel. Candidates should be comfortable working from home and traveling frequently, primarily servicing clients in Utah and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service SW custom-built machines.
• Demonstrate and install new machines at customer sites, including electrical/mechanical check-outs, setup, commissioning, tooling, operation, and programming as needed.
• Conduct root cause analysis and create detailed documentation.
• Prepare and submit demonstration reports accurately and promptly.
• Provide timely field service on SW machines as needed.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic issues during warranty period.
• Crosstrain on mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance tasks.
• Assist customers with operational and programming issues during warranty.
• Perform maintenance and basic support post-warranty.
• Train customer personnel in processing, tooling, operation, and servicing of SW machines.
• Upgrade personal skills through training, seminars, and conferences.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician, with training on servicing up to 4-axis CNC machines.
• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and laser systems.
• Knowledge of CNC equipment.
• PLC programming experience with Siemens Step 7.
• Valid driver’s license.
• English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic knowledge of Windows and MS Office.
