Job summary

GEA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the United States. The role involves traveling to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance, install and commission new machines, and train customers on operation and maintenance.

You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, communicate effectively with customers, and ensure high-quality service while representing GEA professionally. The position offers extensive travel, competitive pay, and a strong benefits package including

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 5 years working with mechanical equipment.
• Extensive travel up to 75%.
• Able to work up to 12 hours at times.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
• Must have a valid driver license.

• Strong on-site organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Your Profile / Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• A minimum of 5 years working with mechanical equipment
• Extensive Travel, up to 75%
• Ability to work up to 12 hours at times
• Availability for occasional weekend work
• Understanding of Hand Tools and mechanical techniques
• Computer Literate
• Some technical writing skills
• Ability to read Schematics, Diagrams and Technical manuals
• Must be able to function well, in an unsupervised position
• Must have a valid driver license
• Must be able to discuss technically complex issues with non-technical people
• Good organizational skills, particularly on site, are critical
• A minimum of a High School education is required

The typical base pay range for this position will be communicated during the interview. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards.
