Leidos is seeking a Field Service Technician to operate and maintain complex radar systems in Bowie, MD. The role requires an active DOD – Secret Security Clearance and involves travel to remote facilities for system repairs and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair radar systems.
2. Assemble and troubleshoot electronic systems, including RF coaxial and fiber optic cables.
3. Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inventory.
5. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with willingness to travel and work in adverse weather conditions.
6. Obtain tower climber certification and perform tower climbing as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.
• Training in Basic Electronics & Electricity, RF, digital & analog principles.
• Experience with troubleshooting digital, analog, and RF electronics.
• Knowledge of military communication systems and computer networks.
• Proficiency with test equipment and general hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb towers, and work in various environments.
• Must be a US citizen with an active DoD SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Linux OS and handling COMSEC equipment.
• Experience with tower climbing and HVAC maintenance.
