Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has a future need for a Field Service Technician to join its industry-leading service team in the Light Division. You'll partner with Sales Representatives on executing service plans in strategic district accounts and providing customers with problem-solving support. You will also assist District Sales Representatives with launching new applications in current customer accounts and transitioning competitively held accounts to Nalco Water. This position requires installing, maintaining, and calibrating chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer sites.
  • Provide routine and technical support to customers, resolving challenges and escalating as needed.
  • Assist with start-ups of new applications in existing and new accounts.
  • Establish effective relationships with customers and partner on best practices.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.

Territory/Location:

  • Based in Baltimore, MD / Rockville, MD / Washington D.C.
  • Territory covers a 200-mile radius.
  • 10% overnight travel per month.
  • Shift: 1st shift (Mon - Fri), weekends if needed.
  • Targeted industry: Data centers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years' experience in industrial/mechanical environments.
  • 1 year plumbing, electrical, HVAC experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in varied conditions, including confined spaces, damp, dusty, cold, or hot environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands, balance, walk, stand, talk, and hear.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or trade certification.
  • Experience in water treatment or specialty chemicals.
  • Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, wastewater systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
