G&W Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Raleigh, NC area.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment at customer facilities, with a focus on safe, reliable repairs and keeping customer operations running smoothly. Candidates should have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills and be able to work independently in the field while maintaining clear communication with customers and submitting accurate

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Experience with multiple brands of forklifts.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment (electric, LPG, diesel, and gas).
• Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment status.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
