Job summary

Compressed Air Equipment is seeking a full-time Industrial Air Compressor Field Service Technician with strong mechanical abilities and electrical controls experience. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air systems across factory and lab environments.

The ideal candidate is efficient, team-oriented, and takes pride in delivering elite service. Must be able to work in varied settings and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/electrical experience.
• Troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Experience with 3-phase electric, drive motors, conductors, circuit protection, and related installation tasks.
• Understanding of Ladder Logic (PLC/Relay) and control boards.
• Experience with Variable Speed Drive installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Ability to read wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and signals.
• AC motor theory, wiring, and fault diagnosis; drive installation and repair.
• Millwright experience with equipment installation or related tasks.
• Computer skills are a must for diagnostics and record-keeping.
• General preventive maintenance tasks (filters, lubrication, belts, hoses, etc.).
• Must be a team player with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Summary

Our company is seeking a full‑time Industrial Air Compressor Field Service Technician who possesses mechanical abilities with electrical controls experience. The ideal candidate is efficient, team‑oriented, and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all makes of industrial air compressors, air dryers, and ancillary air system equipment. Work typically occurs in factories, refineries, food processing facilities, pharmaceutical plants, dealerships, and laboratories, both indoors and outdoors.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/electrical experience.
• Troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Experience with 3‑phase electric, drive motors, conductors, circuit protection, sizing, and installation of conduit, enclosures, breakers, transformers, motor starters, etc.; understanding of Ladder Logic (PLC/Relay).
• Experience navigating control boards.
• Variable Speed Drive installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Reading wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams; experience with pressure switches, transducers, temperature probes, current monitors, phase monitors, and other feedback devices.
• AC motor theory, wiring, and fault diagnosis; AC and DC drive installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and/or repair.
• Equipment installation or other millwright work.
• Computer skills are a must.
• General preventive maintenance tasks (filters, oil change, grease, belts, hoses, etc.).
• MUST be a team player, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a good driving record.
